Early Fall Look Book

Blog Header Image

Today’s the day! I’m excited to launch my little style blog, Grammar and Glamour. You’ll get a nice variety of posts here, most Thursdays excluding holidays and deadline time.

Why a style blog? Because I’m not a fashion insider, just a regular person with a life some might consider unorthodox. I’m a romance writer, wife, mother of two. My days are very non-traditional, since Mr. Alexander and I are both self-employed, I don’t punch a clock. With my schedule being as flexible (albeit overloaded) as it is, I like to experiment with makeup, fashion, shoes, purses, etc. This is an outlet of sorts for my hobby. Also, I’ve been asked by a few of my readers, and writer friends, to do something like this several times. So I’m finally doing it!

What will the blog feature? Not gonna lie, it’s going to be pretty random. The focus will be on style, so there will always be images of what I’m wearing. There will also be nail related posts, accessories posts, product reviews on makeup and beauty items, more lookbooks, etc. I’ll also sprinkle in peeks at my life as a writer, wife, and mama, along with the occasional current events-related rant. There will also be a weekly sponsor- hit me up on the Contact page if you’re interested in sponsorship.

My Style Philosophy: Simple, straightforward, elegant. Wear what’s comfortable and flatters your body. Dress in a way that you like, not for anyone else. Style does not have to be expensive.

Without further ado, here’s my first LookBook. Feel free to post your thoughts, but remember that I reserve the right to delete negativity, foolery, and douchebaggery. This is my personal corner of the ‘Net and I demand positivity. If you can’t get with that, feel free to hit the bricks! 🙂

Notes: I rarely change foundations. I dab a bit of Maybelline Fit Me Pressed Powder in the T-Zone to combat shine. Also, my hair for the lookbook was a roller set on hot pink Flexirods, using only water to set. I put it in a high ponytail at night to stretch/preserve curls then styled each morning.
